About Toastmasters

Toastmasters International is a non-profit educational organization for the development and practice of public speaking and leadership skills.

Dr. Ralph C. Smedley, who conceived and developed the idea of helping others to speak more effectively, established the first Toastmasters club on October 22, 1924, in Santa Ana, California.

Its World Headquarters, located in Rancho Santa Margarita, California, administers toastmasters International’s business and services. It employs no paid promoters or instructors. It has no salaried staff except the Executive Director and World Headquarters staff, which provides services to the clubs and Districts

Toastmasters is the best way to improve your communication and leadership skills. Regardless of your present skill levels, there is still something you can learn at Toastmasters.

Learn how to use PowerPoint presentations more effectively, how to speak without preparation, how to listen to others effectively, and how to shake any fears you make have about public speaking.

At Kanata Innovation Toastmasters, we have the experience and the expertise to help anyone who wants to learn reach their full potential!

Our Mission

We provide a mutually supportive and productive learning environment in which every member can develop communication and leadership skills, which in turn fosters self-confidence and personal growth.
